    CHAPTER 8
    THE MYSTERIOUS OVERTURNING

WHERE DID JEREMIAH GO WITH BARUCH AND THE ROYAL DAUGHTERS of the last king in Judah? Since Zedekiah’s sons were killed and there were no male heirs, then the oldest daughter is now the Queen of Israel. She is the only heir to the throne of King David, which must pass through Solomon.

Under Hebrew law (Numbers 27:8-11), a daughter would inherit as though she were a son and the right of descent would pass to her male seed providing she married within her own house (Numbers 36).  Since David’s line (Ephraim) is promised to remain on the throne through all generations FOREVER, it will always remain. The physical location of the throne may be relocated, nevertheless an heir of King David will always occupy it. The removal of the throne could only occur at an OVERTURN of the throne by a marriage between a direct heir to the throne through Solomon and one of the ancient Davidic line, thus healing the breach and solidifying the genetic line of the Davidic throne in Ireland.

Jeremiah’s job now is to find a settlement of Ephraimites of the ancient Davidic line. Thus, the young Queen will not just marry into her own tribe, but into a branch of the Davidic line. ETERNAL’s promise to King David that there will always be an heir to his throne will remain in effect until David is awakened from the grave to reclaim the throne for himself.

    Scythians

“Within half a century of the House of Israel going into exile, the Scythians or Gimiri were mentioned for the first time in the historical documents which date from the reign of Esarhaddon, King of Assyria (681-669 BCE) and are now in the British Museum. They reveal that the Scythians were then located among the Medes, where the Bible tells us that some of the Israelites had been placed in captivity (2 Kings 18:11).

“In the Assyrian language the name for Scythian was ‘Iskuza,’ which was derived from ‘Isaaca.’ The Scythians may well have called themselves Isaaca, or House of Isaac, as Amos did a few years earlier (Amos 7:16). It should be realized that in Hebrew the accent falls on the last syllable, so that Isaac would not be pronounced as it is in English. Consequently, the ‘I’ could easily get lost altogether to form the Greek name Skuthae.”1

Since only Ephraim and Manasseh carry the name of Isaac (Genesis 48:1-16), the Scythians are Ephraimites. Other tribes could be associated in the Scythian empire but the Scythians are of Ephraim. Gawler tells us:
“At various times from very early periods, and during their later march westwards, the Scythians threw off in all directions, principally southwards and behind them, vast swarms, which, after sweeping all before them for a time, were in some cases cut off and broken up, though not destroyed, but losing their coherency, were eventually absorbed among the nations.”2

The Milesians come primarily from Scythia and the old historians agree that Ireland was ruled by a succession of Milesian monarchs until the reign of Rodrick O’Connor, the last native Irish king.3

In comparing the “Ephraimite Scythians” to “Ephraimite British,” Growler states that manners of the Scythians were received by other nations as the standards of policy, civility, and polite learning, and the Irish historians note these Scythians coming to Ireland as being highly skilled in architecture.

History stops short at this point. Enlightened students of Scriptural history have long known that the Ten Tribes called by the name “House of ISRAEL”—have been lost in identity and historical knowledge and exist today unrecognized as nations among the Gentile nations. The Mighty One has hidden their identity and location from the world. Yet, in this end time, we shall find the secret revealed through PROPHECY.

    The Three Overturns

History shows that the descendants of Ephraim (Scythian) became wanderers, journeying to the north within the confines of the Scythian nations, and their descendants later migrated to Ireland which was ruled by descendants of Irial and Tamar, King David’s daughter.

Meanwhile, the Davidic line of Solomon that possessed the Davidic Covenant—was HIGH—exalted. The Davidic line through Tamar, probably feeling it rightfully should possess the throne, and some day would, was low, abased—as far as royal power was concerned.

Now consider a passage of prophecy that is greatly misunderstood. Begin reading at Ezekiel 21:18 and you will plainly see that ETERNAL is here speaking of the captivity of Judah 4  by the king of Babylon. Then beginning with the 25th verse, He says:
Ezekiel 21:25-27. “Now to you, O profane, wicked prince of Israel [Zedekiah], whose day has come, whose iniquity shall end, thus says ETERNAL CREATOR. ‘Remove the turban and take off the crown [as did happen, through the first half of Jeremiah’s commission]. Nothing shall remain the same [referring to the crown]. Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted. Overthrown, overthrown, I will make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, until he [David is awakened] comes whose right it is, and I will give it to him.’”

Let us understand clearly what the Mighty One is saying. “...Remove the [official] turban, and take off the crown...” King Zedekiah, of David’s Ephraimite dynasty, had the crown. This says it is to be removed, AND IT WAS REMOVED. Zedekiah died in Babylon and Nebuchadnezzar killed his sons and all the male nobles. “Nothing shall remain the same...” The turban & crown are not to cease, but a change is to take place—the throne is to be overturned—another is to wear the turban crown. ETERNAL’s promise to David is not to go by default! “...Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted.” Who is “high”?  King Zedekiah over Judah. Now he will be abased. He is to lose that crown!

In addition, the tribe of Judah has been “high” (with a king) while Israel in Ireland has been “low”—these many years without a recognized king5 (Hosea 3:4). The Davidic line through Solomon has been “high;” the Davidic line through Tamar has been “low.”

“Overthrown, overthrown, I will make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, until he comes whose right it is...” What was to be overturned? The turban, crown, and the throne! Not once, not twice, but it will be OVERTURNED three times. It was overturned by abasing Zedekiah, of the Solomon line of the House of Israel, but now exalting the Tamar line ruling among the House of Israel in Ireland! The first of the three overthrows was performed in the first half of Jeremiah’s commission.

“It shall be no longer...” Does this mean the throne—the crown—is to cease to exist?   Not at all!   How could it be overturned two more times—that is, TRANSFERRED from one to another, if it ceased to exist? How, after these three transfers of the crown, could it be given to him—Mashiach—“whose right it is,” at his Advent, if it ceased to exist altogether? How could the crown exalt him who was “low” now, if that crown was to be no more? No, the meaning is: “It shall be no more overturned until the Advent of the Mashiach!” Then the crown shall be given to him!

The Mighty One will not break his unalterable promise made to David! In every generation, David shall have a descendant, through Solomon, wearing that crown! The second half of Jeremiah’s commission must now be performed. Jeremiah must now WANDER; the throne must be TRANSPLANTED, and BUILT. The crown must be overturned, by being transferred to another in some other place! But WHERE? To WHOM?

A “Riddle” and a “Parable” Tells!

The strange truth of the PLANTING and the REBUILDING of David’s throne is revealed in a “riddle and a parable,” couched in symbolic language now being understood in this latter day. It fills the 17th chapter of Ezekiel’s prophecy. To understand what is being said, you should carefully read the whole chapter. First, notice this prophetic message is NOT addressed to Judah, the Jews, but to the House of ISRAEL. Remember that when Ezekiel spoke this, the ten-tribes had already been taken away as captives and did not receive his message. Therefore, it is a message to give light to the lost ten tribes, specifically the House of ISRAEL in these latter days!

First, ETERNAL told Ezekiel to speak a riddle and then a parable (Ezekiel 17:1-10). Then, beginning in verse 11, ETERNAL explains its meaning; then in verse 12 He says: “Say now to the rebellious house 6 ...do you not know what these things mean? Tell them...” Then the riddle is clearly explained. Now we will start at the beginning of the riddle:
    bird
Ezekiel 17:3-4. “A great eagle with large wings... Came to Lebanon and took from the cedar the highest branch. He cropped off its topmost young twig and carried it to a land of trade; He set it in a city of merchants.”

This is explained to represent King Nebuchadnezzar who came to Jerusalem and took captive the king of Judah along with his sons to Babylon.
...17:5-6. “Then he took some of the seed of the land and planted it in a fertile field; He placed it by abundant waters and set it like a willow tree. And it grew and became a spreading vine of low stature; Its branches turned toward him, but its roots were under it. So it became a vine, brought forth branches, and put forth shoots.”

Nebuchadnezzar also took of the people (seed) of Judah. He “set it like a willow tree. And it grew and became a spreading vine of low stature” means the Jews were given a treaty whereby, although ruled over by the Chaldeans, they might live in peace and grow.

In Ezekiel 17:7-21 is the second part of the riddle. The other “great eagle” is explained to represent Pharaoh of Egypt and Jews who went to live in Egypt were all killed or scattered.

Thus, the riddle covers the first half of Jeremiah’s commission. Now notice what is revealed concerning the second part—the PLANTING of David’s throne! It comes in the parable, verses 22-24, and begins with “Thus says ETERNAL SOVEREIGN....”
Ezekiel 17:22. "...I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain.”

bird The highest branch is the Ephraimite king of Judah and a tender branch from him would be a daughter who is now the Queen of David’s throne. The riddle told us Nebuchadnezzar took the highest branch—the king. The parable now tells us ETERNAL—not Nebuchadnezzar, but ETERNAL—will take of the highest branch. Not the branch, but OF THE BRANCH—of Zedekiah’s children. “I ETERNAL will crop off from the topmost OF its young twigs a tender one.”

Nebuchadnezzar captured and killed all of Zedekiah’s SONS. However, the MIGHTY ONE, through His prophet Jeremiah, is now going to take OF this highest branch “...and PLANT IT on a high and prominent mountain,” continues the Almighty! Remember that a mountain in prophecy is an established government or the nation.

Ah! “A tender young twig!” The twigs of this highest branch represent the children of King Zedekiah! Certainly a tender young twig, then, represents a DAUGHTER, a Princess! “And will PLANT it.” Could symbolic language say it any plainer? This young princess is to become the royal seed for the PLANTING again of David’s throne. Where? “...on a high and prominent mountain!” answers ETERNAL.

    But Which Nation?

Ezekiel 17:23. “On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar...”

David’s throne now is to be planted in ISRAEL after being thrown down from Judah! Could language be any PLAINER?
...17:23  “...and it [the tender young twig—the king’s daughter] will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar...”

Did David’s throne cease with Zedekiah of Judah? Did ETERNAL forget His Covenant? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Compare this language with Isaiah 37:31-32: “And the remnant who have escaped of the House of Judah shall again take root downward [be planted], and BEAR FRUIT UPWARD.” It was PLANTED in ISRAEL and removed from Judah! After this Hebrew princess is “planted” on the throne, now in Israel and lost from view, that throne is to BEAR FRUIT. The Princess, now the Queen, is to marry and have children, and her sons are to continue David’s dynasty!
...17:23. “...Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell.”

“Lost” Israel, now having acquired the throne, had again become a self-ruling nation and shall, in time, spread around the earth gaining dominance and power. They shall inherit the unconditional promises of the BIRTHRIGHT, according to CREATOR’s Covenant with Abraham!
...17:24. "And all the trees of the field shall know that I, ETERNAL, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, ETERNAL, have spoken and have done it."

A “tree” in both the riddle and the parable also represents a nation. In other words, “...all the nations of the earth shall know that I, ETERNAL have brought down the high tree...” Judah, the high tree, having the throne 130 years after Israel had been taken captive, now is brought down to the low stature of slavery. Moreover, “...have exalted the low tree...” for 130 years Israel had been a “low tree.” Israel is now exalted, again becoming a thriving nation with a Davidic king. “...have dried up the green tree [JUDAH] and have made the dry tree [ISRAEL] to flourish...” Compare that language with the next verse:
Ezekiel 24:26-27. “...thus says ETERNAL SOVEREIGN: ‘Remove the turban, and take off the crown; Nothing shall remain the same. Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted. Overthrown, overthrown, I will make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, until he comes whose right it is, and I will give it to him."'

The verse is speaking of transferring the throne from Judah to Israel. Israel had already been independent in Ireland for four centuries. Israel in Ireland already had a kingly line onto which Zedekiah’s daughter could be grafted. The Irish Israelites were an ancient colony that had not gone into Assyrian captivity to which David had taken his daughter Tamar.

ISRAEL, headed by the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, who actually possessed the BIRTHRIGHT, now would flourish becoming prosperous in due time. “...I, ETERNAL, have spoken and have done it” (Ezekiel 17:24).

Yes, that BIRTHRIGHT is in ISRAEL. Though lost though supposed to be a Gentile nation, they are the people who were to grow into the promised multitude—the great nation and the company of nations, and possessing the gates of their enemy nations. They would become a colonizing people spreading around the world, being blessed with national resources and wealth. Moreover, when they become powerful and nationally dominant, remember that David’s throne will be found transplanted among them!

WHERE did Jeremiah with his royal seed for the transplanting go to find the lost House of Israel? WHERE are they today? Can we tell? We CAN! The exact, precise location is revealed in Scriptural prophecy! We can pick up Jeremiah’s trail in actual history, besides!
