"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." - II Chronicles 7:14![]()

Shalom believers of the One Holy One of Israel,
What about saying "amen" at the end of a prayer?
The English word "amen" is a transliteration of the Hebrew word #H543 in Strong's which is "'amen" and is pronounced "aw-mane'." Number H543 ('amen) comes from number H539 (aman) is pronounced "aw-man'" and means to build up or support, to foster as a parent or nurse, to be firm or faithful, to trust or believe, and to be permanent or quiet. If the Hebrew wprd "'amen" was translated correctly it would be "so be it" and not as the same word less the pronunciation mark.
Notice that Holman's Electronic Dictionary admits that when the Hebrew word 'amen is translated correctly it is "so be it" but when it is incorrectly transliterated it comes out as "AMEN":
"AMEN" is a transliteration of a Hebrew word signifying something as certain, sure and valid, truthful and faithful. It is sometimes translated, "so be it." In the Old Testament it is used to show the acceptance of the validity of a curse or an oath (Num. 5:22), to indicate acceptance of a good message (Jer. 28:6), and to join in a doxology in a worship setting to affirm what has been said or prayed (Neh. 8:6)."So, what is the big deal?
Beverly M. ferreted most of the following information and made this statement:"A interesting piece of information came to my mind as I was checking out this name "amen" as possible a false deity. In doing a word search for "AMEN" my computer stopped at the word, testAMENt. In resent weeks we have received a tape discussing the fact that the New Testament is indeed a TEST to us to see who we will follow. The following evidence appears to be a clear indication of this test."From Chris Koster's book The Final Reformation."The Hebrew of the Old Testament reveals to us that the Scriptural Hebrew word (which means: so be it, or verily or surely) is "Amein" and not "Amen". Likewise, the Greek equivalent in the Greek New Testament is also pronounced: "Amein". Anyone can check on this or in Aaron Pick's Dictionary of Old Testament Words for English Readers. Why then, has this Scriptural word "Amein" been rendered as "Amen" in our versions? Again we can see how the pagans have been made welcome, been conciliated, by adopting the name of pagan deity into the Church [of Rome].Funk and Wagnall's Standard College Dictionary, describes it: 'AMEN':"The Egyptians, including the Alexandrians, had been worshipping the head of the Egyptian pantheon, 'Amen-Ra,' the great 'Sun-god,' for more than 1 000 years, BCE. Before this deity became known as 'Amen-Ra', he was only known as 'Amen' among the Thebians. This substitution of 'Amen' for Amein was greatly facilitated by the fact that this Egyptian god's name was spelt in Egyptian hieroglyphic language with only three letters: AMN. Just as we find a similar poverty of vowels in the Scriptural Hebrew, which also only spelt its AMEIN as AMN. However, with the vowel-pointing by the Massoretes the Scriptural word has been preserved for us as AMEIN. On the other hand, the Egyptian deity AMN is rendered by various sources as 'AMEN,' or 'AMUN,' or as 'AMON.' However, the most reliable Egyptologists and archaeologists, (such as Sir E.A. Wallis, Dr. A.B. Cook, Prof. A Wiedemann, Sir W.M.F. Petrie, and A.W. Shorter) as well as some authoritative dictionaries, all render the name of this Egyptian deity as 'AMEN.' "This 'AMEN' was originally the Thebian's 'hidden god who is in heaven' or 'the hidden one, probably meaning hidden sun.'
In Egyptian mythology, the god of life and procreation ... later identified with the Sun-g-d as the supreme deity, and called 'Amen-Ra'."James Bonwick, Egyptian Belief and Modern Thought, repeatedly and frankly calls the 'Sun-god' of Egypt by its correct name, 'AMEN'. He states on pp. 123-125,:"AMEN ... is in a sense, the chief deity of Egypt - supreme divinity. Whatever else he be, he must be accepted as the sun ... the hidden god, the solar aspect is clear ... there is the disk of the sun ... the 'sun Amen' ... His identification with 'Baal' ... establishes him as a solar deity."Smith's Bible Dictionary expresses:'AMEN' as, "an Egyptian divinity ... He was worshipped ... as 'Amen-Ra', or 'Amen the Sun'."Herodotos recorded for us how the Greeks identified their 'Zeus' with 'Amen-Ra'."'Yahushúa' calls Himself "the Amen" in Rev. 3:14. Substituting a title or name of 'Yahushúa' with the name of the great hidden 'Sky-god' or the great 'Sun-god' of the Egyptians, 'amen' is inconceivable! The difference is subtle, but it is there. By ending our prayers in 'amen' instead of amein [so be it], one could very well ask, "Have we been misled to invoke the name of the Egyptian 'Sun-god' at the end of our prayers"?
With tongue in cheek, here are 23 Messianic prophecies you may not have thought about.
We will introduce the 28 prophecies the same way that the NT introduces prophecies. For an example of that, we will start with: "And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene" (Mat 2:23).
Dr. Scofield states for verse (2:213) "He shall be called a Nazarene PROBALLY refers to Isa. 11:1 where the Messiah is spoken of as 'a rod out of the stem of Jesse.'"
Note the word "probally," its use indicated they do not know what it is referring to. Also, notice that you would not have recognized it as a prophecy if the author had not pointed it out to you.
Using NT method of collecting prophecies, we will apply it in the following passages in this story to see just how silly NT prophecy really is. So now to our story:
My name is Moshe and I am an Israelite who has, from my youth, learned the words of our Prophets, and has been puzzled by their meaning. Then, on the Day of Atonement I contemplated the solemnity of the day and the emptiness of my stomach. Suddenly I was made aware of the amazing meaning of the words of Scripture. I recognized the fulfillment of 23 messianic prophecies of the Tanakh that referred to the rooster in our yard and my life was changed forever.
There were many more messianic prophecies that I could have added that apply to my messianic rooster, most, of which he will fulfill when he comes back.
- Early in the morning I went to get my rooster and there in the light I looked into his eyes and understood action this fulfilled the words, "I am one who will see affliction" (Lam. 3:1).
- I took him and swung him around my head to fulfill the verse that says, he "compassed me with gall and travail" (Lam 3:5).
- I moved my hands as I swirled him to fulfill the verse that says, "Only against me did he turn his hand [wing]" (Lam 3:3).
- With this he leaped from my hand and started to run. As it says, "They have run away without seeing good" (Job 9:25).
- It cackled as if to cry a short prayer as it says, "My words I say out of the bitterness of my soul" (Job 10:1).
- He ran from me, fulfilling the verse, "To me they showed their back and not their face" (Jer. 32:33).
- I borrowed a cane from a man near me to catch him with the rounded edge, to fulfill the verse that says, "And Moshe took the stick" (Ex. 4:20, Num. 20:8).
- I tried to catch him with the hook, but only the blows of the cane hit his back as to fulfill the verse that says, "Afflicted by the rod of his anger" (Lam. 3:1), and the that says, "I struck you with the blows of an enemy" (Jer. 30:12).
- He turned to me and I hit him on the cheek fulfilling the verse, "I have offered my cheek to the one who strikes me" (Lam. 3:30).
- He ran from me into a dark corner and I followed him, as the verse says, "He has led me and driven me into the darkness and not light" (Lam. 3:2).
- I had him there in the corner as it says, "All the pursuers overtook her in the small place" (Lam. 1:3).
- In that corner there was just nowhere for him to hide from me just as the verse says, "Can a person hide in a concealed place, and I should not see him?" (Jer. 23:25).
- He was now trapped as the verse says, "He has walled me in so I cannot escape" (Lam. 3:7).
- He cackled as in prayer but there was no answer just as it says, "Though I would scream out and plead he shut out my prayer" (Lam. 3:8).
- I took him by the neck and rung it, just as it says, "He grasped me by the neck" (Job 16:12).
- We picked the feathers and separated it into pieces snapping its bones just as the verses say, "He has broken my bones" (Lam 3:4).
- Then I took him home to cook and removed the skin just as it says, "He has worn away my flesh and skin" (Lam. 3:4).
- My wife placed him in a pot with water, as it says, "For the waters have reached unto my soul" (Psalm 69:2).
- She added many spices as it says, "And she gave ...many spices" (1 Kings 10:10).
- She covered up the pot so it could cook just as it says, "He has placed me in darkness" (Lam 3:6).
- The smell of it cooking filled the room just as it says, "That the spices may flow out" (Song 4:16).
- We rejoiced and sang as we ate him, as it says, "I have become a thing of laughter for my people, they sing all day long" (Lam. 3:14), "In him our hearts were joyful" (Psalm 33:21).
- After which we were full and gave thanks just as it says, "You shall eat and be satisfied and praise ETERNAL your CREATOR" (Deut. 6:11; 8:10; 11:15).
Moshe"Adapted from a parody by Moshe Shulman. The original could be seen at "Parody" of "messiahtruth.com/discovery.html" but for some reason it is no longer there.
In all seriousness, the above example is no different then the lists claiming 200/300/400 prophecies fulfilled by the man from Galilee. Remember Moshe's rooster when you see or hear the claims made by missionaries or just simple folks who you may meet.
May the Creator Grant Peace and Blessings,
